The big talk this season is how people celebrate the holiday, and how they refer to it. Some places have done away with Christmas Parties, or Christmas Concerts, and have either replaced them with Holiday Parties or Holiday Concerts.
Do you feel this is a subtle way of people separating the Church and State even further, or do you think it's just people realizing that not everyone celebrates Christmas in this country?
Personally, I've been saying "Happy Holidays" to anyone I wasn't sure about for over 10 years, and Merry Christmas to the people I was sure about. Besides, there's nothing wrong with the phrase Happy Holidays, in that it covers not only the winter holiday of your choice, it also covers New Years, at least for those of us who celebrate the Gregorian calendar.
I don't think being more sensitive to people who celebrate other holidays is such a bad thing.
